What to include

Share fixture counts, driver part numbers if known, control protocol, emergency requirements, target certification, application type, and any jobsite constraints. Photos of existing drivers or ceiling conditions are useful for retrofit work.

If the request is for a new project, include the reflected ceiling plan, luminaire schedule, control sequence, target bid date, and any owner preferences for DALI, 0-10V, occupancy sensing, daylight response, or emergency backup. If the request is a replacement, include the existing label photo, output current, input voltage, fixture cavity depth, operating environment, and whether the replacement must preserve the same dimming behavior. These details help OSRAM return a concise recommendation instead of a long list of uncertain alternatives.

Distribution and purchasing teams can also use this form for availability questions. The specification desk will route the request to the right technical or channel contact and keep the answer focused on orderable components, compatible accessories, documentation, and schedule risk.

For exterior projects, note pole height, fixture mounting, required distribution, control node preference, and whether the site uses a central timeclock or fixture-level controls. For interior commercial projects, note room types, ceiling conditions, required dimming range, sensor coverage expectations, and whether the owner prefers standardized hardware across multiple floors. For horticultural projects, include rack layout, driver location, thermal limits, dimming schedule, and the expected grow-cycle control method.

The more complete the first message is, the easier it is for OSRAM to answer in a format that can be passed directly to estimating, design review, or procurement. Short incomplete requests are still welcome, but they may require follow-up before a reliable component recommendation can be made.
